The County is excited to host a Plate-to-Garden Compost Event and Garden-Themed Swap Event in partnership with Tri-County Solid Waste Commission and Vonco!

A Plate-to-Garden compost event is a program to close the loop for communities, like ours, who have an organics recycling program by providing finished compost to community members. The event demonstrates what happens to food scraps once they are collected and delivered to a commercial composting facility (Vonco II).

For the Garden-Themed swap, residents can bring garden tools in good, usable condition to swap. All items are intended to be given and taken freely.
