The Planning Company, LLC is City of Baldwin's designated planning official, staffs our Planning Department and oversees City of Baldwin's development related activities and zoning administration to ensure that land uses are consistent with the Town’s long and short term goals and objectives.
The Planning Department serves as the Town Staff liaison to the Planning Commission and reports to the Town Board on land use issues. They also work with the Park Committee on park development issues and historic sites. One of the most important elements of the Planning Department’s role is providing information and assistance to residents, local businesses and developers.
The Comprehensive Plan, Zoning Ordinance, Subdivision Ordinance and other development regulations are prepared by the Planning Commission and adopted by the Town Board to be used by Town staff in processing and review of development applications for land subdivisions, new development and redevelopment. Comprehensive Plan
City of Baldwin's Comprehensive Plan provides a guide for how the community will continue grow and develop in the next 20 years. The Comprehensive Plan is generally updated every ten years or as significant issues arise to reflect changing conditions.
